These Legal Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases, preorders, products, services, firmware, software, and website use associated with Redlite.
By purchasing from Redlite or using this website, you agree to the following terms.
1. Consumer Rights (New Zealand)
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
Under the CGA:
• Goods must be of acceptable quality
• Goods must be fit for purpose
• Goods must match description
If a product failure is substantial, you may be entitled to a replacement or refund.
If a failure is minor, Redlite may repair or replace the product within a reasonable time.
If you are purchasing goods for business purposes, and this is agreed in writing, the CGA may not apply.
2. International Customers (Including United States)
If you are purchasing from outside New Zealand, you may have additional rights under your local consumer laws.
For United States customers, this warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary by state.
Nothing in these terms limits mandatory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
3. Limited Warranty
Redlite provides a 12 month limited warranty from the date of delivery covering manufacturing defects under normal consumer use.
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Redlite may, at its discretion:
• Repair the product
• Replace the product
• Provide a refurbished replacement of equal functionality
4. Exclusions (To The Extent Permitted By Law)
The warranty does not cover:
• Accidental damage
• Incorrect installation
• Improper wiring
• Vehicle electrical damage
• Cosmetic wear
• Damage outside rated operating temperatures
• Water damage
• Third party accessories
• MicroSD card failure
• Loss or corruption of recorded data
Nothing in this section overrides mandatory consumer protections under NZ law.
5. Installation Responsibility
Customers are responsible for proper installation.
Professional installation is recommended.
Redlite is not responsible for vehicle damage caused by improper installation or wiring.
6. Recording & Data Disclaimer
Redlite dash cameras are recording devices only.
They:
• Do not prevent accidents
• Do not guarantee uninterrupted recording
• Do not guarantee legal admissibility of footage
Users are responsible for maintaining functional memory storage and ensuring devices are properly configured.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redlite is not liable for loss of recorded data.
7. LTE & Connectivity Disclaimer
LTE and connected features rely on third party cellular networks and infrastructure.
Performance depends on:
• Regional coverage
• Carrier stability
• Network availability
Redlite does not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity or real time access.
Network outages and third party disruptions are outside Redlite’s control.
8. Preorders & Batch Production
Redlite operates on a batch production model.
Manufacturing begins once minimum production quantities are reached.
Estimated timelines are projections and may vary due to:
• Manufacturing schedules
• Supply chain conditions
• Freight delays
• Customs processing
• Quality control procedures
Customers will be notified at key production milestones.
Orders may not be cancelled once production has commenced, except where required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
Redlite shall not be liable for:
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of profits
• Loss of vehicle use
• Loss of data
• Incidental damages
Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by mandatory consumer protection law.
10. Force Majeure
Redlite is not liable for delay or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, including:
• Natural disasters
• Government restrictions
• Global transport disruption
• Supply chain shortages
• Labour disputes
11. Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, product names, and imagery are the intellectual property of Redlite.
Unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.
12. Amendments
Redlite reserves the right to amend these terms at any time.
Updated terms will be published on this page.
Continued use of products or website constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
13. Governing Law
For New Zealand customers, these terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
For international customers, local consumer protections apply where mandatory.
